Chateau Lestage
Chateau Lestage is located in the charming region of Montagne Saint-Emilion.
18,5 ha of Lestage vineyards lie on the top of the highest hill in the area. The whole day the vines are exposed to the sun.
Clay and sandy pocket stretches from Pomerole to Montagne, including the Lestage hill. The soil composition here strikingly resembles the famous soils of Pomerol.e a unique palette rich with a variety of delicate flavors of fruits, minerals and spices. The charming, elegant and subtle tastes of local wines preserve the traditions of this region.
The top of the hill location allows the winds to bring the sea breeze. The combination of climate and soils unique even for this region creates great conditions for ripening of Merlot grapes, which take over 15 ha of the vineyard. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc make a wonderful addition to the wine bouquet.
Chateau Lestage wine program includes 100% Merlot wines as well as Merlot and Cabernet blends.
